Air Gun Guy's
Here's another spin of the same addiction we all suffer here. Its called Air Gun Addiction it only strikes a few but it is a world wide addiction(the UK is probably second to USA). But it runs deep in each of its victims with no help available for those who suffer the pain and expense of this highly contagious disease.
Oh Yes!!! it is a very contagious disease! With out even knowing about it,,, there friends are drawn in by the shooter by a simple ""Hey pal why don't you come on over this saterday we can do a little air gun shootin and drink a few brewski's in the back yard,,, I'll even let you use one of my new air guns and don't worry about pellets,, "I have a million of them for us to shoot"This is a person with a serious addiction trying his darndest to bring his buddy down to his level and way of thinking. And so it goes.Within a week he and his pal are looking to buy the victim with his new disease(although he does not know he's got it yet) a new air rifle and guess who knows exactly where to go to cop one??They should setup a sting for these people!!! Dunhams,Sportsmans Warehouse,Dicks,Cabela's just to name a few would be a good place to start these stings.
I think we need to start "Air Gun Annomonus" with side rooms for those who are cross addicted and the disease has spread to buying a new gun when the addiction calls on you, Cronographs,Scopes,Diopter sights,Muzzle Breaks,Custom Stocks,LDC's,Pellet holders,Pellet collecting,Target collecting and lets not forget the day dreaming about a new target that could be made and shot at with a airgun!!!.
Some are so addicted they start there own forum ( No name mentioned he he he )
*********** All statements were taken from the***********
*****"THE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF MEDICINE FOR SICK AIRGUNNERS"
**************and are not to be taken seriously***********
LMAO
Happy Shooting
BBGun Bob
I used to have a life now I have air guns(lots of them) and forums(more than 5).I am a sick man???
SE MI.
My addiction got me saterday while @ Sportsman's Warehouse I just went looking for pellets.

Its just a nice muzzle break/cocking aid,but it looks like something can be done to it to make a better grip on it(wink). The tip is removeable, maybe its a common break/LDC that can be used in the UK or any other parts of the world with different internals.I'm already on top of it .he he he. Silence is golden!!
I'll keep you informed.
Good eyes Al
BBGun Bob
ps it looks like it is missing something inside, maybe a factory defect |

FT match in Lavon, Texas back in October, 2005 that Leo Duran brought targets for. I was shooting against a full full blown HW97 FT rig as well as a JW 75 and figured I didn't have a snowballs chance, but I guess the higher bc of the 16 grain Prometheus Dynamics gave me an edge in the shifting wind. The wind was so bad that Ken {JW75} was only able to score 13 hits for second place.
Started on lane 5 and on lane 4, at the end of the match I was the final shooter and hit the longest shot on the course {55m target} twice. I was the only shooter that day to hit that target for both shots.
The overall match went to Don Matzeder shooting a Mac1 USFT rig in FT position. His score was 35/36, but he started on lane 4 and dropped one of the 55m shots. Don is the guy in short sleeves handing me the win certificate.

With me it started of with learning about the fact that airguns are not illlegal. Im quite a chaotic mind and my only hobby was gaming. I didn't have a girlfriend, and I looked pale all the time. After a while I started to have PROBLEMS controlling the volume of my VOICE.
The only cure where the airguns, so in a way, it helped me get trough a difficult time of my life. Why is talking everyone about it as an addiction, to me it is a bliss! Now I can finally control myself better, and I stopped excessive gaming, in stead, I polish my gun (funny on so many levels) and I developed a great sense of humour. I got girls surrounding me right now, because of the cool guns I own, and they even are willing to pose in bikini's with me and my guns.
Thanks, airguns, for improving my life.

Hey it sounds like it worked in more ways than one for you.I could never stand gaming. For one thing I hate the television,to many useless commericals, pretty much one sided in politics and to me it is a way to brain wash the public. These are only my thoughts and I don't speak for anyone but myself.I think the TV programers think they are dealing with a brainless public who are not capeable to think for themselves.
I only wish I lived in a warmer climate so I could shoot more.It is both relaxing and interesting to me.The challenges that come with airgunning are self rewarding in there own right.I used to shoot powder burners a long time ago but the cost and urban development have pretty much put an end to that.
I really never got the same satisfaction with powder burners either.A .22 rim fire if set up right is a bad mother for target shoting at three times the range and the power is nice, but it is noisy and is not as challenging as an air rifle.
I love a new or different air gun you have to learn the new gun all over again, and sometimes that can take a while. But its kinda like riding a bike, once you learn it you never forget how a particular rifle or pistol
shoots, what it likes and dislikes, and how it likes to be held a certian way in order to hit your mark.
I can't wait for the weather to break I have some serious issues to master with off hand shooting. There is a FT Club less than 15 miles from me.I'll ride my Harley out there this summer and take in a few of there matches to see what I must learn.Maybe with practice and more practice I will try near the end of the season to see what I lack in proper shooting skills.I have been reading as much as I can on the web about it but you have to get your butt out there and just do it before you know if you have learned anything.I wish 23ib0d0n was a little closer to Michigan I know he's got his sh!t together with the Field Target Shooting. It would be great to have a gentleman like that to learn from.If he would be willing share his knowlege and how to's with an old 58 year old Biker like myself.
Blah,Blah,Blah, sh!t I got to go.
Later guys
BBGun Bob
SE MI still 19 degrees F outside!! |

That's a nice testimonial, Bob. And to me it's a bit of the same. Shooting makes me feel at ease, because I have to pay attention to just that. Other things don't really matter anymore when you're taking down cardboard. |
