I understand that the UK's NSRA (National Smallbore Rifle Association), the governing body for airgun competition, DOES allow the use of crossbows in airgun competitions.
Not applicable to longbows, though.

Here it goes ...received my Crooked Barn breech today, fited the Fitco pistol scope to her, sighted her in and Voila!
Scored an 83. (see picture for more details)
I'll need time to get use to the weight and the scope now but like having the scope for these old eyes. The breech has it's ups and down and may need some tunning up to make it cycle smoother. The barrel I want to cut down to 10 to 12 inches and finally get and pair of wooden grips.
Trigger I've tuned but still working on a fancier trigger shoe made of medal.
Other than that, I haven't done any other mods. |

Pistol: An old beat up Crosman 38T.22 with 1/2 broken rear sight.
This pistol is a pain to cock & load but it has a very nice trigger.
Pellet: Cooperhead Wadcutter
Position: Offhand with2 hands standing at 5 meters for under 10 minutes.
Score:
7 10 7 0=24
7 10 10 9=36
0 7 10 10=27
Total = 87 out of 120

That's pretty good Rene for an old beat-up pistol with a funky rear sight!
Also- I am posting now that I may have some time issues with getting the next competition posted up- I am leaving town tomorrow afternoon for a few days and will do my best to get a new target up- but if things fall off the rails a bit for next week's competition- I apologize in advance. |

I can put up a sticky for week 14 monday if you run out of time. Now that the well pump is functioning again, I may actually get a chance to shoot some of these targets I've got printed up over here . . . |

| J. - if you have a target and can post it up with any rules included- that would be great. I can get it all onboard the site here sometime after that- and of course you can Sticky it. You can also "unsticky" the current competition by editing the first post in it (mine) where you would change "sticky" to "normal" and save it! |

Steyr LP1, RWS pellets, 5 meters, one hand, iron sights, 9 minutes.
10 10 9 9=38
10 10 9 9=38
10 9 9 8=36
Total 112/120
I find myself anxiously waiting to see what the new target for the week will be. I have been talking this up among those I shoot with, hopefully they will post a score soon. Have a good trip. |

One thing that I have admit if I was to shoot any pistols with one hand,
my score probably would be -0
I probably would it the target paper but that would be it. |

First time with the B4
11/12/2007, 11.35-11.41am
Gun: SMK Custom B4 .177
Sight: Hawke RD30 Red Dot
Range: 10m, Standing
Pellets: Hobbys wadcutters
Weather: Mild 12 Deg c
Score:= 28,37,29
Total:=94
You know this B4 gets better and better, by next spring it'll be a "Weihrauch", I even think it shoots better than my Co2 rifles, although it still has a bit of a kick, but combined with the Hawke Red dot it makes a nice outfit.

Nice shooting guys. I just finished cutting down my barrel to 10 inches and re sighted. Manage to get a three shot one holer at 26' and pistol feels better balanced now.
Hopefully it will show when I shoot off hand...still got to get some tiny trigger travel play out of it and of course hand grips. |
