Neal is the name been shooting BB and pellet guns of low quality all my life. Just got a benjamin trail np .22 last year and now am looking to get a .25 in a gas piston. Been lookin at the hatsan mod 95, 125, 135 and xl750 from benj.

I have seen extensive research on the mod 95 and 125 and xl750 but not much review of the 135. Can anyone here attest to the value of product to the cost difference between the 135 and the others. I know the 135 is supposed to be a beast but is it worth it compared to the others as far as effective killiing range and what not? I am not looking for a 100 yard tac driver but the occasional outing for varmint and dove or pigeon and possibly a turkey would be in order.

Thanks and glad to be the new guy here.

Tough call...my experience is more with Crosman than Hatsan, but the Hatsan Striker Edge I own is of superior build quality and is my most powerful non-PCP .22. I've seen reviews that place the Hatsan 125 slightly ahead of the Benji XL (again, in .22) in power. That said, the Crosman/Benjamin product is really easy to work on, modify, and get parts for. Not so much the Hatsan. The tinkerer in me says: go Benji XL.

Edit: almost forgot, welcome to the forums!

I don't tinker to much, but have to agree with Mentolio on the Benjamin XL. I have one in 25 and it hits like a ton of bricks. With the built in shroud its very backyard friendly and in my neighborhood that's a big plus.
