A bit off topic but.... Looking at all those big bore air gun "bullets" gets me wondering.... Would a more "bullet" shaped pellet perform better at 1000+ fps than a traditional diabolo shaped pellet in .177 and .22 cal air guns? |

Yes, but....
There is still no point in trying to drive a bullet that fast with an airgun.... The efficiency of the air to accelerate a bullet drops fast at that speed.... and the drag on the bullet skyrockets.... The combination of the two makes it not worth it....

I recently saw H&Ns new Grizzly pellet in my news PA periodical. I've had no luck in the past with such ammo, but I'm bound to give these a try sooner or later |

Yes. solids/bullets perform much better in my Condor that waisted pellets. |
