I have about 400 titles in my video collection. The first movie I ever recorded was "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" many years ago.
Here's an easy one:

HEY SLAVIA,
My favorite line from the African Queen is spoken by the captain of the German gunboat "Louisa", after he agrees to marry Charlie and Rosie (the missionary), after rescuing them from the sunken African Queen:
"By the authority granted to me by His Imperial Majesty Kaiser Wilhelm II, I pronounce you man and wife...proceed with the execution."

I like the "filthy little beggars" line when he climbs up out of the leech-infested river.
From "The Quiet Man" I like Barry Fitzgerald as Micheleen Flynn the matchmaker saying "the proprieties at all times" and "no patty fingers if you please." I actually got to use those lines when my (now) stepfather was courting my mother. She got it, he thought I was serious. |
