This is my first post and am very happy to have found an air gunner only forum. I never realized just how many air gunners are out there as well as how long the airgun per se has been around. I started with CO2, went to a springer, and now am going to try out my luck with a PCP. I can't believe I waited so long to start up this tremendous sport.

HEY LRP3rd,

Well, I've been in the AG game for awhile, being 78 years old, and I also "tried my luck" with a Pre-Charged Pneumatic, and didn't like it!

This was after owning the devastating Webley Patriot Magnum springer in .22 cal, with 50 pounds of cocking effort and 30 FPE.

I didn't like the idea of being dependent on a 3000 PSI source to charge my rifle, even if I had to pump up the gun's reservoir myself.

I like everything self-contained, with the air-compressing mechanism designed into the rifle, with no connecting hoses and fittings to fool with.

PCP rifles were the brainchild of a hunter who wanted to take White Rhino, Wild Boar, or Water Buffalo with one lead pellet. Airguns were never intended for such violent applications!

Get a nice .22 cal Underlever or Breakbarrel springer with 700 FPS and mount an airgun-rated scope on it...you'll be satisfied!

Welcome to the Forum,
WADCUTTER (That's my PCP on top, with my Webley just below)
