I was wondering some benefits of a .22 airgun versus a .177 for hunting. Any info will be helpful. |

When a .22 caliber pellet hits a dove or starling, it sounds like a baseball hitting it. Sparrows explode into feathers. .177s usually shoot through and the bird flies away unless you had a perfect vitals-shot. I've had a lot of kills on both, but after switching to .22, i'll never go back. Even took a groundhog with a .22, and i'm not sure I would have even tried that with a .177. My .22 seems much more accurate |
