I was wondering why Daisy pellets aren't on the spec list. Are they that subpar? |

My opinion is yes, they are subpar. I have never had any luck with Daisy pellets. |

Some people have had good luck with them, but generally in lower-powered guns (i.e. under 500fps).
They are not on the "list" because the list hasn't been updated in 5 years and I think in that time period, this is only the second question related to something being missing on it. Daisy also seems to have never published the weight on a couple of their pellets, although this could probably be figured out fairly easily. |

The trouble that most have with Daisy pellets has nothing to do with them being subpar.
They are a very soft pellet, and as such it is easy to get bent skirts. As long as you avoid the bent skirts (or make a tool to correct them [like I have done]) Daisy pellets can be very good in many guns, even those of higher powers.
I have had very very good luck with the .22 cal Daisy Pointed pellets in many guns. I have also had good luck with the .177 pellets in a few guns.
There will be guns that do not like them, just like any other pellet, though if your gun likes them they can be a great pellet. |

That is interesting as in my experience the Daisy Pointed pellets do quite well in many guns that have some good power behind them.
Though I do prefer the Winchester Round nose for .177, still a Daisy sub brand, though a much heavier and harder pellet.

Every one has a grain scale, so weigh them.
The Daisy .177 pointed weigh in at 7.2 grains. And the Daisy .22 pointed come in at 14.4 grains. Does that help? |

The reason I asked was that I picked up a pack of .177 flatnose "Premier" at the local hardware, These were the only .177 wadcutters they had, and I'm shooting paper w/ them @ 10 yds. I've got a Webley Hurricane, Diana 5G, and a Winchester 363 to put them through. I'm anal about bent skirts and have a cone device to reform the bent ones. I also seat them uniformly in the bores, don't just push them in with my finger until flush. So far, the accuracy has been acceptable, but I've had better out of the 5G than w/ these. Haven't tried them in the little winchester rifle yet, but hope it likes them. The .22s the hdwe had in stock all had weight on pkg, as did the pointed pellets. These don't. So much for "Premier". |

"Premier" is a name I would normally associate with Crosman, not Daisy. Can you post photos? |
