Mostly I use Gamo junk, because it's cheap. I'm planning to order a bunch of Geco's though.

JSB Predators are #1 with me,I`ve taken squirells,rabbit,ground hog,starling,sparrow,crows,even a couple of red fox,with a sollid hit they do wonders. Wink

I havn`t,in my guns they shoot almost bang on compared to cp`s.And they make a helluva hole...if not through and through.. Cool

RWS SuperDomes for small game, ie-crows, magpies,
feral cats and up to chicken sized animals. Although I once
scored a large goose with one at 50 yards.
Kodiaks for up to large dog sized animals.
Eun Jins for the big and/or tough ones, ie-baggers, big pigs,
mountain lion (scored a 250 lb one once with one).
Those are the only three pellets that my Condor will shoot accurately.

Well I have tried a second Beeman hollow point their crowmagnum pellets. Same story as the silver bear really I recovered one from a tree rat. I hit him just below his last rib went through his diaphram into his lung cavity exited the lung cavity went between two ribs on the far side of him and lodged under the skin. It expanded slightly. I think I will go with heavy pellets from now on and not mess with hollow points. They may work at higher velocities but I can't seem to push them fast enough out of my R1.

I tried the crow mags with my .22 but had some major accuracy issues with them. They are advertised to "expand" upon impact, but you would have to be pushing them REALLY fast to get them to peal open and create a larger wound chanel.

But what does make them good is that they are heavy, and the cup shape causes a great deal of energy to be released upon impact which gives you some hellacious knockdown power.

I think hallow points are a gimmick. I'll stick with domes and superpoints.

What I love to do with .22 "Crow Mag's" is put a tiny drop of super glue in the cavity, and then drop in a .177 Daisy Zinc covered Steel BB, and Voila, You now have yourself a .22 Gamo Rocket that weigh in @ 23gr. and will Carve a New Arse-Hole into anything it hit's Wink

, and if you want something a tad lighter, I use the steel bb's from Crosman FireBall's(I made the mistake of buying two tin's before I realised that they were CRAP!!!)which are alot smaller and fit the cavity even better. I don't know how much they weigh in at, probably around 2gr. or so. On top of an 18gr. Crow-Magnum, I'd say it make's for a pretty deadly combo. The "Crow-Magnum" is already one heck of an accurate pellet, all this does is make them aero-dynamic, and Armour Piercing(Well Almost). Try it,,,,You'll Like it. Cheer's, Andy.

P.S.,,,,,,,The BB is centered on the Crow-Magnum, so don't worry about it touching the inside of your barrel Cool

Not sure about putting bb's in the crow mags. Though I have .22 cal crow mags so I'm tempted to try it. But they already pack a punch. What more do you really need? I doubt the bb is going to make that much more of a difference.

Hey, so for those rippers, do you actually insert the pellet backwards?

That's the one thing I won't try out, Somehow I don't think it's a beneficial thing to stick a pellet in Backwards. I shot a rabbit last year using one of these round's in my QB-78D, and the bb was shoved so far down into the pellet, it looked like it was coming out the back anyway's,LOL. Don't forget that when you put the bb into the Crow-Magnum pellet, it now weighs in at over 23gr. Shocked

, that's alot of hitting power, and if you got the gun to back it up, Anything you put in your crosshairs is going Down.Period!,LOL, Cheer's, Andy.

At first I thought he stuck it in the skirt and fired it facing the normal way, but then that defeats the purpose of having the skirt. He actually did put it in backwards, or at least it appeared that way in his soap test. I can't imagine it flying right with it facing backwards either.

I once took an empty airshotgun shell and loaded it with three .177 bb's and put foam wadding in there. It made a very loud and unhealthy noise when I fired it and diseled like a locamotive. All three bb's hit the box target I was using, but didn't seem to have hit it that hard. Still, its cool to make custom ammo for airguns like that.
