The rules have been altered slightly for Week 3: A rest can now be used and shooting distances have been increased slightly in order to promote the idea of "luck" using the target:

AirGunHome Shooting Competition Page

Maximum points obtainable is 1000 (50 points times 20 shots).

You can color them if you like- but I'm not thinking that will make you a better shot! Razz

Allright- I went out a bit earlier and put one of the targets up, went back 35m (106ft) and without a scope- couldn't see anything but the paper itself!

Sure 82ft and 41ft are closer- but the numbers will still be extremely difficult to see.

So- unless someone wants to make a version of this with colors ASAP- everyone can color in anything they like to aid their sighting- red, green, blue, polka-dot spots, whatever. For me, I think I'll just color some of the more 'valuable' squares for points and see what happens!

I'll get on the coloring job if you want, however I don't know how to post it back up.

Good work J.

Here it is for downloading (I rotated it as well):

Week 3 Target Colored

I may just break out my own highlighter and go to work for my own use- I don't want to have to drag out the ancient HP DeskJet to print color!

I've got my target shooting session booked this week for Thursday morning, rain or shine, the reason is that the wife goes shopping on thursday, and with these target ranges getting longer (25m) the garden is not long enough, so to make 25m I have to shoot from one of the bedrooms through the door through the conservatory out the patio doors and down the garden, if they get any longer I'll have to shoot from nextdoor. mind you Eric did say we could use a rest, what better place than a bedroom Laughing

These things must be getting too easy if Al doesn't even need to get out of bed to compete! Mr. Green

I can see why you'd want to do this when the wife is away. Just don't plug the Picasso or one of "Grandma's heirlooms" with lead and you should be OK!

Well- I got it done today:

Start: 6:28pm
Stop: 6:34pm
Crosman 1077 (modified for accuracy) w/Crosman 0290 red dot (no magnification)
Crosman Bulk 7.9gr Wadcutters
75*F, 80% RH, no wind to speak of

Result? I still suck:

points x quantity

5 x 6 = 30
10 x 3 = 30
15 x 2 = 30
20 x 2 = 40
25 x 3 = 75
50 x 3 = 150

Total: 355 out of a possible 1000

and I missed completely with one shot at the bottom of the paper!

I need to either buy a pistol- or use a scope with magnification- I can't see crap apparently beyond about 15 meters without it. Shocked

Seeing as how you have been able to post this up- I guess we can assume the wife didn't catch you in the act? Very Happy
