Those damn peacocks, always mucking things up with their beautiful plummage, peaceful countenance, and docile nature. They deserve to be shot while they sleep!

Not a very big problem at all. I don't think that they are
indigenous to this country (USA). What happened was that
this guy bought an old farm where the farmer had bought a pair
and they started breeding and when the population got
out of control (57 birds) they started to get very aggressive.
He managed to trap all but two. I shot this one and the other
one was flattened by a semi.

He originally called me because
he had turned it into an RV park and no one could have a picnic
without these big geese coming over and biting them, running
them off and then eating their food. When they started to bite
children they saw my pest control ad at a store and called me.
The bites are like being squeezed real hard with a pair of pliers.
Leaves a painfull, bad welt. It was actually the RV camper's fault as
they had been feeding them (a Federal no no here for this very same
reason) and the geese had become acustomed to the free food and
started not fearing man and actually started realizing that they
could all kick man's a$$ and take what ever they wanted and started
doing just that. They contacted the authorities, the authorities came out,
saw the over population, saw the welts on the kids, gave them the ok,
he shut down the park and a friend and myself would go out here every
day for two weeks sniping birds from afar.

Peacocks docile? Shocked

Badgers and fighting cocks are more sedate than peacocks or peahens. Twisted Evil

They terrorize the 'orange pickers' in FL during harvest. Usually requires that 'pickers' are kept inside of a circle surrounded by shotgun wielding 'protection' often directly from game management offices. Horrible territorial monstrosities with razor sharp leg spurs. In certain areas, they are shot on sight because of the damage they cause and the extreme danger they pose.

Besides running a full gown german sepherd away
from his food, he charged me twice when I first went
out there to check it out. I had to wack him with a tennis
racket that I always take on jobs like this a couple of
times before he would quit coming at me. A battery powered
Sawzall works great also. You can walk right in the middle
of a whole flock of aggressive geese, pull the trigger on that
saw and walk like Moses through them and they will part for
you and close behind you. It's a real eerie feeling.

Funny, I'd just take my semi auto co2 pistol and blast my way through them.

That would probably work if it made enough noise.

My big bore Honda motocross bike works the
best at clearing them out for miles, but they always
come back after a couple of hours after it is shut off.
