In the front housing, under the barrel there is a sprung index lever and a pawl (a 'finger') that rotates the magazine. If the spring, lever or pawl are damaged, no magazine rotation. |

The finger or the teeth on the magazine is likely worn (they are plastic and do wear over time)- so they 'slip' against one another when the sprung detent is putting pressure on the magazine. |
