Hey guys,
I currently own a crosman 2240 with 14 inch barrel, steel breech, and stock.
However, I am tired of buying Co2.
Is it possible to buy a 1377 and SWAP THE BREECHES so the 2240 was 177 and the 1377 was .22? If so, how would this affect performance in both guns?
Thanks

Yes, you can swap the breech, barrel and bolt (to match barrel caliber) between the two- but you would need to drill out the barrel hole in the 1377 barrel band to hold the longer barrel.
It would result in a .177 Co2 pistol around 540fps and a 1322 pistol with a 14" barrel shooting around 500fps. |

Thanks! Looks like I'd be losing power in the .22 gun. Is there any way to boost power on a 1377-.22 platform? I am familiar with valve mods, hammer springs, power adjusters etc., but have never worked with Multi pump systems before. Do all the same mods for co2 apply to pump? |

Mostly- but valve modifications on the 22xx and 13xx guns are waste of time unless using 24" .22 caliber barrels- Co2 or pump. |

Are you sure? I do have a 14 inch barrel on it. |

If you have US-spec guns (not 'detuned' for different export markets), then yes, I am sure)- the only valve modification that gains you anything is on the pump guns (13xx) is a flat top piston/valve combination, anything else related to the valve is a waste of time if not using a 24" barrel. |

I see... I do have us spec. That's good to know. Now I won't be tempted to ruin my valve. |
