here is the forarm
i used the skill saw to cut the slots out but in the future i think that i will get a router bit to make life easier

the forearm was the most dificult to fit properly i had to make that little concave thing at the front like the plastic version has, to make it fit the pumparm & barrel

Here is the forarm, its a straight grip as opposed to the usual pistol grip, but hey you do what the customer says to keep them happy right?

they are made of ash and the customer wants them stained i was thinking a walnut colour soo
they still need to be sanded and stained, i just wanted some impressions of them

I did the same thing once, only with a different technique. Using a table saw, I ran a groove right down the middle. One saw kerf wide, and the same distance deep. Then I glued another piece of wood on top of the groove (so the groove became a square hole). Then I drilled it out with a spade bit slightly smaller than the tube it had to fit. The pilot point of the spade bit ran straight down the (square) pilot hole. Then I cut the extra block of wood back off. Sanding brought it out to a good fit with the tube. Inletting for the mechanical linkages was done last with a router.

Measurement and setup are everything.
