I have given permission to a gentleman by the name of Pau to make Bob's Boattails in Spain.... He sent me the following photos....

Here is the "Cherry" (reamer) used for the 51 gr. BBT in .250 cal....

The mold below will be for a shortened version, which will have the boattail removed to the back of the last drive band.... It will weigh about 43 gr....

It looks to me like Pau does beautiful work, and the bullets look great....

I would like to point out that I have no affiliation with Pau, nor am I being compensated in any way.... I wish him all the best in his endeavour....

Bob

Congratulations, of sorts.

So who is "Pau"- i.e. does he do this sort of thing all the time (mane bullets or other things), or is this a one-off/one-run type of situation?

It started as a hobby, and he is now going into small scale production....

I would have thought he would send you a sample pack as a way of saying thank you? After all it’s your name going on them.

At least it recognition of your good design.

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay,
between weekend work, women, new ideas, many things half finished ....

and my English is not good just not been able to register in this forum

For those who do not know me, my name is Pau (in Valencian) is Castilian or Spanish would be "Pablo" or Paul in English,

as you said our friend Bob, this started when I buy a mold molds LBT Veral Smith,

and to the ends for me, but of course the friends of the shooting also wanted to try, I did a few more to give my colleagues, both have liked, I started to make a few more for me and my friends, but my friends do not know keep your mouth shut ....

so they also taught them to other friends and so many friends .... but as I saw that this was no longer a matter of 4 friends, decided to try to make an automatic machine for making ammunition, about 6 or 7 months ago I started making this machine, but there is still a lot of work on it,

Sensing that things might work, I asked Bob if I could produce their ammunition in my country, as I said a few days ago, while recognizing their merit, so the "logo" bears his name as Bob asked me,

Alstone, as you say ... Bob receive at one time a substantial amount of their own ammunition, be aware that the machine still does not work so keep melting the Boattail a 4-cavity mold, I guess more than one and will understand how long assumed that ...

so when my machine work, Bob will be the first person to receive a sample of a few pounds, besides also want to send when ready "the new version Non-Boattail" about 40-43grn to see if it works or the same I can not, and develop it some improvement, he is the master in this field,

I hope everyone can understand well and if there is any doubt or bad translations hope you will forgive me.

Greetings to all

Pau
