Hi, I'm Mike, I'm new to this blog. I'm trying to start a small business. I hoping to find out what airgunners think about having to go to the swap and a home location to get hard to find pellets, as in .25, .20 and some .22 and ,177s that are hand to get. I'm from Bakersfield, California, and no one that I know of, carries .25 pellets in town. So, I'm thinking of starting business at home mostly and at the local swap where I can my name out there. What do you airgunner think Question

Depends on your local airgunners- there are plenty of pellets available online- but if you're talking local swapmeets then it's really only your local crowd that matters.

Sounds like a great way to waste your time and not make a penny.
You can't possibly compete with Walmart on price and you don't have the money to stock all the brands of pels you'd need to keep on hand.
I'm not being disrespectful, just honest.

That was my first thought on the subject. On the other hand you might start a buyers group, so you can order as a group, and buy pellets without paying shipping from PA/AGD.

First you need to find out if there are enough people who would be interested to start a local buyers group.

That's why I'll carry mostly just .25 Cal. Local Wal-Marts doesn't carry .25 Cal I plan on carrying other airgun items. Items that wouldn't compete with other large change stores. I shoot with others, so I know what they want, and I'm retired, so no plans on making it my only income.

Listen I want you to succeed and make money.
I'm a disabled police officer with a fixed income and disability in Oh. means I can't earn a dime or loose benefits. Wish I could.
My g-friend owns her own business, 30 years, built it into 100K a year now.
It takes time and patience. Do not stock items you like.
Stock items others like/need/want. If you are not making at least 15% clear profit you are failing.
There's a lot more but this will do for now.
