First looks, its well made, good weight, nice feel, trigger is suprizingly nice.
First thing Is open it up , remove barrel and clean its bore was pretty nasty.then I rubbed the breech end, it was sharp edged.I worked it smooth on a fine arkansas stone.I polished it smooth and rounded the edge, while inside I looked it over for other items needing attention.looked fine so I put a drop of crosman pellgun oil on all hinge points and a drop to the piston assembly.worked it open and closed a bit.cocking started becoming easier.
then I put the barrel back in.I left the barrel lock strap in loose, closed it and used a wood dowl to push the barrel snug to the oring where it sets against the breeech.opened it and tightened the lock screws down.
Put a cphp in and shot n it.was impressed with the trigger.short first stage about 1.5 pounds of pull then about 1/4pound more at second stage.very crisp second stage with no extra movement smooth let off.
Sounded like its got decent power as I aimed at a snow covered tree limb snow flew.
Shot a second shot watching how it moved when I pulled the trigger, it was steady through the shot cycle.
Hope I get to get a few shots in later as its only 7 degrees outdoors.
From what I see so far its very good and from the price to quality its great.all n this for $43.25.I belive its got to be a keeper...
Can't belive how nice it shot new from the package, lots better than my crosman 2240.it had to get some work done befors it had a decent trigger. |
