I saw on YouTube on a few videos different ways that you can make your pellet both heavier and hit harder. It is also said it gives it more fps.

In a nutshell you would use a hollow point pellet then superglue a BB on to it .

I saw that using a BB or other Ball bearing would be better because it is made of a harder material than using a heavier lead pellet & and according to the people that did the video it would also hit harder and do more damage.

Personally not knowing much about this kind of thing I would guess it to be okay but I’m not sure that’s why I am asking all of you.
If you all do think it is okay I was wondering if a BB was okay or should I use a smaller ball bearing.

I would like to find out if doing that is advisable and or will damage the Barell of an airgun.

I wouldn't waste my time. It doesn't work that well.

A .177 BB on a hollow point .22 would work. I don't think I would try a .177 BB in a .177 cal rifle. I'm pretty sure I've seen pellets like this available.
I say if you want to try it out go for it. Shoot them into some clay or balistic gel to see the difference. Have fun.

My rifle used to really love these and honestly still does...
