I am searching for a gun that is NOT a Co2 gun and I was wondering which one between a break barrel or a pneumatic is better overall , taking into consideration. Reliability-maintenance-cost and anything else.
The price range would be definitely less than $200 but preferably under $100 or very near to it.
As I live in Canada I have been advised by many on it to buy firearms/air pistols within Canada and if I do that my choices are a bit smaller and also the prices are higher.
I have been looking at and considering a couple of guns.
(1) - In the break Barrel area - the Benjamin Sheridan trail NP & the Webley Scott Typhoon.
(2) - In the pneumatic area - the Daisy 717 & Crosman 1377c
these are my choices at the moment unless anyone has any other similar guns in mind.
I MUST SAY THAT WHATEVER I DO BUY MUST ONLY HAVE ONE ACTION TO COCK / PUMP IT
ALSO IT MUST BE A PISTOL
The gun I get will be use many for target shooting and possibly a small amount of pest control and will be used by a man and a woman.
Thanks for all your help and information Craig |

Keep in mind that airguns over 500 fps are considered to be firearms requiring a PAL to have them. |

I have yet to see a break-barrel pistol that I was satisfied with. I'd get a Crosman 2240 if I were you. Good gun, it'll kill a rat at reasonable range, and it should be legal up there.
You're not gonna get anything else that you're gonna be happy with in your price range, I'm almost certain. |

| Now that you change it to pistol only I would recommend the Beeman P-17. Silly accurate, fantastic trigger and stock puts out about 400fps. Best of all is the $40 price tag. |
