I have decided to buy a over lever pneumatic air pistol to begin with but in the near future I may get a break barrel air pistol and I was wondering what the differences were between a Nitro piston and a spring piston. Which one is the better overall & reliable with cost & may need the least maintenance.
I would also like to ask on an air pistol for lubrication could 3 in 1 oil be used OR is their another oil that can be bought in most stores be used ?.
Thank you Craig |

I'm pretty sure 3-in-1 is a no-no. Use pellgunoil, and sparingly.
The Nitro piston is much better than spring pistons. It doesn't suffer as badly for being left cocked, and it functions with less recoil and noise. |
