Hope you like your new rifle vitalymezh, I found the HW-30 an ideal target gun especialy with peep sights, nice and light.

Yes, I like it a lot, it is very light and so amazingly accurate!
I'm surprised - HW30s being spring gun is on par with my recoil-less Daisy 853 by accuracy, but in addition it groups almost any high-quality pellets, while Daisy 853 gives good results with R10 pellets only.
See the "100 shots" groups test with different pellets, rifle is about 300 pellets through it now.

One more advantage - HW30s not a hold sensitive, once zeroed from the rest keeps POI offhand, at least for 10m distance.
I'm very positive about it!

That’s pretty good grouping with a mixture of pellets like that, I use JSB Exact and find them a good standard and Hobbys are either good or very bad according to the gun used. My favourite pellets are Air Arms Fields 4.52, which are one of the most popular over here, if you can get them they are worth a try.

Wow! That's some great shooting there JC! I'm working on a 1377 based rifle at the moment, so I thought I'd play with that with this target. Don't think I could hit a thing free standing (damn heart rate all over the place after pumping!), and only moderate success bench rested. Heh, fun trying though Smile

Vacation starts next week, so hopefully I'll get a chance to submit an entry before month end.

The Webley is a nice pistol, very nice trigger, you have to pump it as well so the trick with any hand pump gun is to slow down and use the full 15 min. so the heart rate can come down too. Someone said that you should shoot between the heartbeats but they are too close together to do that :-)

Crosman Model 1, with a crappy 4x32 scope, shooting Crosman Destroyers. All shots fired on 5 pumps, in 7 minutes and 11 seconds, from 33 feet.total score...a paltry 45. Clearly I need to quit being so reliant on "resting" my rifles when I shoot. Glad I didn't try using a spring gun. Was fun, looking forward to next month.

It's a tough target, pretty much hit or miss, unlike a more traditional radial pattern. You didn't do so bad, at least your shots are on the paper, which wasn't the case the first few times I tried offhand shooting with a rifle Embarassed

I'm going to lap and choke my barrel today, and redo the crown. If it still shoots after I put it back together I'll have a crack at this target Smile

Dang elbow and forearm still giving me trouble. I've been laying off shooting since the November match in Richmond, just picking up the Pardini once or twice a week and shooting a few shots to remind myself what that's like. But it seems work is just too relentless and I'm not giving the arm time to heal. Oh well, maybe I'm just a shooter with a sore arm from now on. Managed a 120/140 at least. Nice shooting JC48!
