i am shooting my new beeman today, i cleaned it real good before shooting. my first shot was low right about 10 inches my second high left about 10 inches, after about 75 or so shots they have begun to go center at times but sometimes still a little left or right by a couple inches. my groups are within 3 inches or so and some are hitting bullseye. never shot spring guns till recently, is it true they have a break in period or is my gun bad? i have been seeing the more i shoot the smaller my groups are getting, thanks for any help.

What distance are you shooting? And yes, there is a break-in period for these spring guns. Varies between guns, but I usually have my spring guns stabilize after 100 shots or so after adding chamber oil.

Break it in for a few hundred shots, try different types of pellets.

My Beeman Elkhorn took almost a whole tin to start pulling tight patterns. That was a full tin of CPHP. By the time I was done that afternoon, I could barely hold the gun up. The next next day I was pulling 1 in patterns at 15 yards. Mine is scope only though. for me, scopes are the only way to go.
