Crosman hasn't actually sold the C21 for over a year- although it is still listed on their website, but "out of stock"- so I wonder what the age range is on this recall. Based on the serial numbers starting with "12J, 12K, 12L" and then to "13C" it would almost appear that these units are from October 2012 to March 2013- outside the range of when C21's were gone (unless they have still been shipping these to big-box stores or something?)
I also have to say the fact that this appears on their website, while their dealers are not given any notification of it, is a bit disturbing. |

Maybe they want to keep everything corporate so they can document their actions for liability purposes. Still, you would think it would be a simple matter (and more thorough) to advise dealers so customers could be referred to corporate.
I would be curious why the things are failing - both why and how often. My P10 has the same design for the CO2 capsule "yoke," but a different part number (and is not part of the recall). So maybe out of tolerance, maybe a different material, maybe a bad batch of castings? There's nothing on the CPSC website.

I am also curious about the P10/C11 pistols- same basic design.
However, the conditions they list for when this becomes an issue "Extreme heat (150 degrees Fahrenheit)" seems unlikely to be something that is going to occur very often. |

a person would think they would have all the bugs worked out before they hit the market. look how long it took for the benjamin nitro piston pistol to hit he market after they said coming soon  and sadly the 1 i had was a p.o.s. |
