I have a Beeman P1 magnum that I added a scope to. I never like shooting it with the scope. It makes cocking difficult. And it is like a 45 auto to shoot. And I don't have a scope on any 45s .

So along comes the Benjamin nitro trail. It is like a match made in heaven. I just remove the rear sight from the weaver mount and mount the scope.

Yes it all weighs a ton. Balance is OK . A butt stock would be fun. But then it's a rifle.
All in all I like it. It is easy to cock with the scope in place. I am trying to sight it in. But the pistol is new and seems all over the place. But I have a bad shoulder also so most of it is me.

Nice! Is it a pistol scope or a rifle scope?

It's a pistol scope. I can't streach out my arm enough to free shoot with it. But I can shoot from a rest. Everything is smoothing out. Trigger was like sand paper at first.

I have my target range set up. 10 meter good lighting. And I have been practicing every day. I just had shoulder surgery so it is a little slow going.

I have a couple questions regarding eye glasses. When I was shooting ten years ago I had 20/20 or better vision.

Now at 49 I need reading glasses. Shooting with a scope I use the glasses and can see the target. With open sight I can't see the target if I have on glasses. But I can focus on the gun sights. I have tried both open sight and scope with and without glasses. I can't seem to feel comfortable with either. I also can't hit anything. But that is another story.

If you are shooting that gun with the cocking assist on, that is most of the accuracy problems.

No I am not using the cocking assist.
The gun is new. I can hit an 8.5x11 piece of paper every time. But the one inch circle in the center that I am aiming at is perfectly safe. I would say with less than 200 shots on the pistol. The trigger is getting much better. And it is hitting a thee in h circle from 10 meter.

I am going to start using my P1 mag more. I want to see if it is me or the gun.

I guess my question is about eyeglasses and sights. I will do a search.

It's the gun. But it is me also. I got out my Beeman P1 magnum. I put the scope back on it. I made ten test shots to adjust the scope and I shot this group with glasses on.

It seems the Trail NP needs some more break in time. The trigger is very stiff. I think the problem is my trigger pull is bad and then after the pull needs work.
I guess the Beeman is worth the money anyway. The trigger is so nice.

It's the gun for sure! I have one and I hate it so far... It's very jumpy when shot and with a horrible trigger forget about accuracy. As far as shooting with glasses on, I have trouble doing that so I don't use them with scopes.

i bought 1 of those nitro pistols last saturday and by sunday night it was back in basspro's store and my $$$ was in my wallet. i gave crosman 1 more chance and thats it for me. sadly i own some of crosman's best guns made here in usa and they bring that substandard stuff here to sell. mine was almost impossible to just break open. i took mine back and the woman [25-30 years old] said whats wrong with yours? i told her crappy trigger, hard to break open and target looked like i was usin my 18" barrel 12 guage. she started laughin and said here is mine too. she bought 1 when she got off saturday night and she said she broke her cockin aid and never got it to break. she was gion to get a p-3 . suprizin a young lady has 1 , but she said she loves shootin air guns and she has 20 pistols and rifles . crosman here is your sign Faq-U

I seem to have all the issues that everyone else has. That is a bit disappointing. But I still like the pistol. The cocking effort and loading is much better than the P1 especially with the scope.

I took the stock off to look at the trigger.
It is not a GRT 3 trigger. Does CDT make a trigger replacement? The new trigger transformed my NT rifle.
I looked at the trigger assembly. It looks like three pieces the shear across each other. I am going to try polishing the contact points and adding grease. If the trigger was better it might help.

too new yet and i think anybody who makes new replacement triggers will wait n see how many hit the market before any time is spent on them

I took it apart. I am going to make a longer screw with a polished tip. Then polish all the contact points.

The lever at the rear is heald with a pin and very strong spring. I am going to put grease under that. I am afraid I won't be able to reassemble it once I remove te big spring.

Lets see how that works.

I polished the trigger face. And put in an Allen bolt to replace the Philips head screw. Then I rounded and polished the tip.
The next lever in line I polished the contact serfaces. Lets see how this and a little grease work out.
