Hey I need these dimensions plus the thickness of the handle without the grips on.
I also need the bolt diameter / taper down to the small o.d. that pushes against the pellet. If anyone has a 2240/2250 apart and some calipers that would be great.

I've got a 1377 apart, which is the same grip frame (part number 1322A051). Notice in the drawing that the width is "stepped" - the front/top is thicker than the rear/bottom. Front/top measures 0.500", and the rear/bottom measures 0.256". Using the top as a reference line I get a vertical measurement of 3.935" at the front of the grip and 4.004" at the rear.
Also realize that the top of the casting (where it meets the valve tube) is curved to conform to the tube. The measurements above are to the very top (outside edges); subtract 0.074" for the deepest point (center) of the depression.
We could probably help you better if we knew where you were heading... |

Thanx Slavia
I was looking around my shop and said to myself I have enough material to build me a 2250. So the co2 tube and end cap I got off Ebay.
I have plenty of 1/2 inch aluminum plate laying around to cut out the grip and milling machine to mill it out. I am not making an exact copy but rather modeling it off the 2240. I will mainly be changing the shape of the trigger guard and adding an additional tapped hole on the grip to better support a shoulder stock.
I have plenty of steel to make the hammer and trigger parts. But I don't have any brass for the valve so I might do it either out of steel or aluminum. |
