I've tried both Blue Flames and Red Flames in my Gamo CFX, and both of them seem to be too big for the chamber. When I rotate the breach closed it squishes the back of the round. I'd imagine it kills my FPS and accuracy

.

Yeah...those pellets stink. Use some lead.

Even if they did fit- it's hard to hit the broad side of a barn at 50 feet with them- too light and flight path is unpredictable. As toadmyster pointed out, go with lead.

The only success I've had with them, is from low-velocity pellet guns. In my markman 1790 they were very accurate. Otherwise... gimmicky junk

Yeah, I normally either use lead or gold. Gamo Raptors, Crosman Hollowpoints, and Crosman Destroyers all shoot and work pretty well in it.

I tried Blue Flames out when I first bought the gun, they sucked. Saw a tin of Red Flames at Walmart, figured they were worth a shot.

I guarantee you most of us have bought such crap, thinking something along the lines of "might as well try them, how bad could they be..." and this is what keeps them selling- problem is 99.99% of the people who do buy them can only use them in very limited conditions (i.e. in super low-powered guns) or don't use them at all. If every airgunner in the US bought one tin of Gamo PBA's in a 5-year period- that's probably going to be a few million tins sold.

only good for low powered guns . i just have what came with my big cat and never used them as i was always told pba= piston breaking alloys. its so light that it lets the piston slam against the end of the chamber when shot and that sorta kills a good springer . for that reason i dont use pba
