I have been using the crossman premier hollow points for squirrels and I'm pleased with the performance. I had a neighbor give me some (1000) Chinese pellets, no name on the containers, they are domed pellets.
Are these things any good, or junk? (yes I'm new here) |

With no name- who's to say?
Likely they are junk- there is only one Chinese manufacturer making match-quality pellets, but they absolutely put their name on them and they are not sold in North America as they become higher in price than the European or US pellets due to the base cost plus shipping- even by the skid-load. |

| thanks. I was thinking that was the case. The pellets actually look pretty good, don't seem to have any blemishes of any kind. I may shoot a few at targets, and leave my hollow points for the squirreling. |

The pellets that Eric referred to are now available from Champion Shooters Supply.I recently tried the Olympic grade(red tray),match(green tray) and the 500 packs of match pellets in 4.49 and 4.50 dis..The red Olympic pellets shot so poorly in one Diana 75 that I thought a piston seal had failed. They were much better in a FWB 300 and two other Diana 75's.The green tray match pellets shot well. The 500 pack standard match wadcutters in 4.50 diameter were exceptional. At 50 feet with a Diana 75 I was getting one hole groups of pellet diameter. The 4.49 pellets were not so good in my guns.
Since I ordered these pellets domed and pointed pellets have become available. The brand is Qiang Yang. They're worth trying. |
