I built a pellet trap today. And it really turned out to be incredibly useful.

I basically built a box using 1 x 15" white particle board shelving. I tied the pieces together with 2 x 4 pieces. Then the face of the box has a square cut out of it where the target can be placed.

I purchased plumber's putty, lots of it! And I pasted it to the back of the box. It more then absorbed the pellets. They stop dead, and stick right in the putty!

It was a great success and a real upgrade for me. It isn't amazingly pretty, but it isn't ugly either! : )

I have pictures if anyone cares.... *** I added pictures below ***

Remember, this is supposed to be a FUNCTIONAL trap, not necessarily pretty! : )

My dad is going to build me a nice one eventually, HE is the woodworker in the family!

Sure! Throw them up here! I'm in the process of rebuilding my backyard shooting range.

Right now I'm using a cardboard box about 18"x10"x6" stuffed with rags. My breakbarrel puts the pellets right through it so they wind up in the yard and I'm afraid I'm gonna get visited by the EPA about all the lead in my yard! Laughing

This cardboard trap is the only thing I can't leave out in the weather, too.

Post the pictures- you can use that "Add Image to Post" option right below the box when you are typing to upload them- that way you don't have to manually re-size them for the size of the screen.

And there's Redster- I had thought awhile back he was dead or something! Wink
