I found this one yesterday at a flea market about 6 miles from me.$40.00
It is CO2, .22 Caliber , (tap loader) I call them top loaders. you drop the pellet in the top and turn the wheel on the breech.Got me something to keep me busy while it is freezing outside.
I think it can be made to be a pretty good shooter, from what I'v read about it It was originally designed to shoot 10 meter light competition.I'll keep you posted as I progress.
Thank You Alstone for your help in fabricating a new front sight hood.

Why am I not seeing the rifling in that barrel? Rust covering it up? That'd be my first task- cleaning the goo out of the barrel. Any idea if the seals are still reasonably good to give it a test fire or two?

Eric,
This thing looks as if its been in an attic or basement for years totally neglected. Yes there is rifleing in there behind 20 years of grud,I have not tried it as far as seals go.I am going to tear it down anyway I will inspect them when I have it all apart.Found the exploded view and manual while researching this rifle,it will make things a little easier to tear apart and reassemble.
Theres all kinds of information concerning this gun at the Crosman Forum.
I did a search there.O-ring sizes, tricks of the rebuild and some info on its performance.

It's Comming Down!!!

Lauchlin,
Those are a couple of really nice rifles(The rest are works of art also).I have just put 5 hours into the stock and still have a ways to go.I modified the fore stock .I put a lot more sweep into it.I also did the shoulder stock with a touch of old Kentucky Rifle look with a deeper curve in it that sits against your shoulder.
So far I am very pleased with the look, but now I have a ton of hand sanding looking me in the face. The old belt sander cuts it down real fast but it also leaves a lot of work once you get it roughed in..
Once I get to the final finishing on the stock I'll get to the metal. While waiting between coats of varathane.Man these things have pretty wood on them,Mine looks like tiger maple, the more I sand the better it gets, what ever the factory used covered the beautiful grain and color of this wood.I'll keep ya posted as things progress. Back to work!

Don't think you have to say anything- "udders" and "boners" pretty much covers it all.

Nice guns either way.
