Air Gun Home Forum Index » General Air Gun Questions and Topics » Parts Source Request    View previous topic :: View next topic  Parts Source Request   Posted: Mon Mar 26, 2012 6:17 pm LTCSteve Member Joined: 26 Mar 2012 Posts: 19 Hello: I recently resurrected two air rifles from my closet...Both seem to be in pretty good shape except for the breech seal...(The little "gasket" that seals between the barrel and the chamber)...I have searched all over for a source of these little gadgets, but can't locate them...The guns are: A single shot break barrel...The only identification on it is the word "Bavaria" and an engraving of a Bavarian statue...I would say it is at least 50 years old... The other is an HW 50, probably 30 years old... If anyone could assist me in locating a source for these parts I would be most grateful! Your HW50 is about the same year as mines. I would recommend replacing the piston assembly with the newer style one that has the press on piston seal(overhaul kit with new spring ). The old style was a rubber/leather seal that screwed into the front of the piston( it may still be working, but your velocity might be low). If your Bavaria is a Wischo 55N, I have a set of original maintenance parts (spring, piston seal, breech seal) that I don't need.
