I have a Ruger airhawk that i have had for over a year. It has always had wandering zero problems with irons but would hold zero for a while. Now the sound it makes has changed and you cant hit a barn with it 2 times in a row. Any ideas or is it a throw away?

Is it shooting short, did you recently oil it, what pellets are you using are there any other noises. It would take a lot to make it a throw away. You need to have a look inside to be certain.

I put 1 drop of chamber oil in after it started shooting off. Can't consistently hit anything. Shoots all over the place and seems louder when fired. I have always had the sights near their end of adjustment which I thought is unless the barrel was bent.

Only one way to find out for sure- take it apart and see what's going on.

I tightened everything op and that helped the accuracy some but it is really down on power. I have never disassembled a piston gun. Are they hard to or worth repairing?

lay some tissue paper on top of the barrel where it meets the body and shoot . if the paper lifts it has a bad breech seal or the hinge bolt came loose/ does it have barrel side play when closed? check that first before tearing it down . if not mabe a broken spring or a cocked piston seal . but id look real hard at the breech seal first
