The RS and Express are great for low to medium powered guns (and non-PAL).... the Express and Exact in medium powered.... the Exact and Heavy in medium to high powered.... and the Heavy and Monster in high powered.... All 5 weights are available in .177 and .22 cal.... In .25 cal, they only make the Exact "King" so far, which is similar to the .22 cal Heavies in SD.... In my experience, the Exact series have a superior BC to any other pellets in their weight range.... so they retain velocity and energy better.... JSBs are the only .177 pellet I buy for my FX other than RWS R10s for indoor 10 meter target. I use .870g Monsters, .670g Heavy, .547g Exact and .475g RS. All shoot nice groups, but depending on wind conditions I tend to shoot the heavier JSB pellets.   Posted: Wed Jan 18, 2012 10:06 pm radar Silver Status Member Joined: 13 Nov 2011 Posts: 1138 Location: Des Moines, Iowa, USA I use the Exacts: .177 cal. 8.44 gr., the .22 14.3 gr. 18.1 grain "Heavy" and 25.4 grain "Monster." I lean a little to the heavier pellets, moreso with the Disco PCP as they handle it better than the springers where they lose too much KE if I go overboard. I can deal with a little holdover as long as the pellet penetrates as deep as needed for hunting, and there, the extra momentum helps unless I go too far past optimum weight. The RWS 34 never sees anything heavier than the 18.1 grainers--and usually 14.3 to 14.5 grains. the Disco does extremely well with the 25,4 grain Monsters. All are accurate, and in the Discovery especially, never seem to shift aimpoint for me when switching (even without conditioning the barrel to the new pellets) except for varying degrees of bullet drop. _________________ It's never too late to have a happy childhood.   Posted: Thu Jan 19, 2012 5:07 pm domer_pyle Senior Member Joined: 17 Sep 2009 Posts: 523 My Disco hot rod only gets fed the 18.1 grains and my Marauder only eats the Kings. +1 on retaining the same windage adjustments when switching weights, only the drop changes. I did ok with the 10 gr with my gamo, but I think it can do better. I just got the 8 gr ones yesterday and am excited to try them out tomorrow. The .25 cal 25.4 gr did ok my M-rod, but the Benjamin domes out group them with ease. I actually got the 10gr's to group the other other day. The silly copper coated H&N's FTS(8.80 gr) and the H&N Baracuda Power(10.19 gr) that i tried on a whim nearly stacked... Not only that, but for some odd reason they dieseled down the barrel where the other pellets I was using were not.
