Looking for a larger diameter steel bb's for my co2 pistol. Have checked Daisy zinc and copper bb's . Has anyone checked the diameter on the RWS brands? Hate to buy more if they run the same diameter.
Thanks |

As far as I am aware all steel BB's are measured the same. Unlike air rifle slugs that are the "same" calibre, yet can vary a bit in their diameters.
Have you considered Gamo Round airgun ammo ? A lead sphere measured to true .177 calibre.Unlike a steel BB which I think are .158 cal.
I don't think the Gamo's should jam. |

Good call on considering the the lead sphericals , NZ. The Gamo lead balls are just bigger enough than steel BBs to engage the rifling in my experience. They will not feed reliably in my BB magazines and have to be single loaded (plus no magnetic cling to the probe) but they are sure accurate for me and penetrate well. |

Evidently, lead bb's are a no no in this gun. I'll pick up some RWS to try out. |

I have an old Beeman catalog (I think Edition #22 - the cover is long gone). On p. 37 where they describe their Perfect Rounds it says ordinary steel BB's range from 0.162" to 0.175". What kind of gun is it? I have a Crosman P10 that won't feed Gamo lead BB's.
I know this for a fact - I might not have modded it except for the fact I was already inside clearing the jam. |

Hi Slavia:
I have a Umarex SA177 Co2 pistol. I have checked the dia. of the Daisy BB's and got an average of .171 - .1715 I read that the precision RWS bb's are larger. But I can't find any specs for them. I would like to find some in the .173 -.175 range.
Thanks |

Bugger eh, Maybe the issue is the fact most steel BB pistols have a magnetic pickup - as mentioned above. As for penetration, holy hell yes, they ( Gamo spheres ) ripped through many a piece of wood that all other diabolo pellets coming out of my rifles simply "hit". |
