Is here anywhere Online, or in my local area that I could possibly sell my pelts for a little bit of pocket money?

Since I didn't get the Discovery from Crosman, I have to start saving up myself. Neutral

Says it's illegal in certain states so check the site for details guys. It's only a few cents per tail so you would need a lot of tails for it to be worth the hassle. Sounds like the best way to do it is save over a hundred tails then ship them so they'll refund your S&H. Anything less than that and S&H would likely eat most if not all of your profit.

LDH with those numbers you have saved a lot of people from potential problems. I'm glad there are people out there making that kind of an impact. Thumbs up.

I usually dry them and send in a years worth at a time. Last year I made about 60 bucks. It's not all that much, but still better than throwing them away. It's easy to dry them. You just pack them in a cardboard box with a fresh sprinkling of rock salt over the last ones you put in the box. Just make sure they are in a cool dry place cuz nothing stinks quite like rotting fur. There are other ways too. You can dissolve salt in water till it won't soak up any more, then dip the ends into that mixture. I like packing them in boxes better though. I just have more luck that way.

Tell me about it. I forgot a squirrel that I had put in my trunk to drop off in the woods at a family member's place for the critters to eat. I visited and left without remembering to do that and the horrible stench was in my car for the next two months no matter how much I cleaned it where I had to drive with the windows down. People probably thought I had killed someone and put them in the trunk. Laughing

I could still smell traces of it 6 months later. I was so glad when that stench was completely gone.

Over here the guys pluck possum fur..it use to mix with wool
they get $100 to $120 per KG (2.2lbs) .... On avarage
it takes 18 to 20 possums to get a kilo of fur

When I was just a lad we used to hunt squirrels for their tails. Fly fishermen loved them.
Maybe I should start hunting them again to supplement my retirement fund.
