Anyone have any info on their guns? My chrony crapped out and I want to know the foot pounds of my new GAMO .22 cal silent cat, it is advertised as 750 but apparently that can be misleading.
Right now I'm shooting 14.3gr benjamin hollow points, but I'm also interested in the FPS with 18gr ammo, in fact any chrono knowlege of this specific gun would be great!
Thanks in advance!
By the way I love this gun, gotta upgrade the scope but otherwise 1/2'' 10 shot groups at 20 yards is no problem, all day |

You're likely in the mid to high 600's with a 14.3.
14-15fpe.
Typical power for a gun of that build size.
Still plenty of power out to 50 yards.
18.1 would be around 600fps. |

Oiling the barrel won't do anything.
It sounds like you have a broken mainspring.
If the rifle is that new gamo should warranty it.
I have a 1992 gamo 440 .177 which broke the spring
around 1998. "back then" gamo replaced the spring
free under warranty but their customer service
as talked about in other threads has gone downhill since the 90's.
Give them a call. A spring should go minimum 5000 shots. |

I've had a spring break in my tuned B-26 and only lost
70fps.
It went from 690/14.3 down to 620.
The spring was a broken twisted train wreck. yes. |

I'd quit shooting it if I were you.
You can end up damaging it worse.
Springers will continue to work even with broken innards. |

| update: I've recieved my rifle back today and it shoots at a consistant 632 fps with 18.14gr diablo exact heavys. At 20 yards it holding a perfect zero and also at 20 yards its holding 3/8'' groups of 5 shots with diablos, and I think alot of that was user error, I'll see what I can get tomorrow |
