Hello everyone new at this forum.
I am looking for help with scopes.
Ive just purchased my third Gamo rifle a Wisper Deluxe Combo with a Gamo VF39X40WR Scope. This combo does have great scope mount but the scope is $^#$#^$#^# !!. This is the first Gamo I purchased with front and rear sights since I have always had trouble with the other scopes, so I use the sights as a back-up system.
I had a trouble sigting them in but now its on the money, except I cant hit the side of a barn with the scope it is every where left right up down.
Can some one tell me if the scope is junk or is it me? What would be a good scope for this gun. |

Scopes and mounts on springers are under alot different stresses than with a firearm. The rear lurch as the piston moves forward, then forward jump when the piston stops on the compressed air, is a severe scope and mount shock.
Spring vibration coupled with dual recoil is even harder on scope, mounts and stock screws. That is why a quality tune is so helpful, because it smoothes out the entire action as it cycles through the shot sequence.
Eliminating the vibration and buzz, while having as consistant a shot cycle as possible produces much smaller groups with the guns favorite pellet as well as helping scopes and mounts to hold up. |

I use magnum rated mounts by BKL, B-Square, Burris signature, or Millett and lifetime warrenty scopes like BSA, Optisan MTC, the old good reputation Leapers true strength, Burris, the old japanese Tasco world class, or old japanese Hakko.
Junk mounts and glass just seems to break . . .
Oh - and a tune by CdT with the GRTIII trigger helps tremendously too . . . |

Ill look into it as I would like to use the scope, the gun with the sights and the Match pellets is deadly accurate to 45 yards, I can group it to within a tennis ball.
Regarding the Tune is that with the Tuna fellow? |

You may also consider getting a rifle rest for sighting in your rifle. |
