Why do Crosman put the bolt handle on the right hand side of their pistols, I would have thought moving it to the left side would be more useful. Most people hold a pistol in there right hand, but to load a pellet in a 2240 you have to reach over with your left hand to load up, or you can swap the gun over to your left hand while you use your right to load then swap it back? Are most Americans left handed, is Mr Crosman left handed, or have they just copied a rifle and never even thought about it? Seems to me that if anyone really thought about it- unless you have your bolt-loading Crosman pistol sitting on a mount of some sort so both hands are free (in which case a right-hand-side bolt for a right-handed person might make sense)- its simply bass-ackwards if one needs to hold said pistol in one hand while loading with the other. "flip, flop, flip" it's like juggling but for no useful or entertaining purpose. _________________ ` I'd say "I care." But I'd be lying. Although a very few do make it reversible. The rifles and pistols have always shared as many parts as possible.... Interestingly, many of the dimensions on the modern guns have carried over from much earlier models whenever it could be made to work....
