Hi Guys

In the past I havent had the best experiences with Gamo and there line of pellets but was wondering about a few of there other ones. here ar the ones that Im looking at

.177 cal PBA Armor
.177 PBA Raptor
.177 Gamo Red Fire
.177 Gamo PBA Blue Flame

Can anybody tell me there experience with these? as Im hesitant to order Gamo pellets without hearing some more reviews from them

Jeremy

This is from my experiences
.177 cal PBA Armor-Ok for target practice & general plinking, somewhat stable but too light for hunting
.177 PBA Raptor-Waste of gold, aluminum, time & money(no one could pay me to use these)
.177 Gamo Red Fire-Relatively decent, as long as you don't expect to do any serious hunting.(stick to small birds & mice)
.177 Gamo PBA Blue Flame-Same as red

Hope this helps.

Generally in my experience and what I've read is the Hyper velocity ammo will never have very good accuracy. There are a variety of reasons for this. The ballistics coefficients are low to non existent. Approaching the transonic speed of 950 fps buffets the pellets with all kinds of shockwaves. And also stability is to some degree a function of drag. More speed, less drag, less stable.

Having said that it depends on what your requirements are.

My personal experience with them Jeremy is that they are too light for just about everything you want to do. I've been able to get better acuracy out of crosman and JSBs than anything else. You might want to try these and see what you think.

Jeremy, IMHO, all I have tried Gamo pellets are no good. It looks to me as though all their polymer tipped pellets are essentially the same. They just change the color of the tip & the name. Once its a Gamo product I generally dont expect a lot out of it. I personally prefer either Crosman or Diana.

I gotta agree with Mod, I'm not a big fan of gamo pellets, they are mass produced and lots of times they have metal shavings still on them. I like the Crosman premiers for plinking. and the JSB Diablo Exact Jumbo Heavy for my Diana. very nice

in my personal experiences, The PBA's are not worth it. They are just Too light. It is like basicly dry-firing a springer when you shoot those!

The Blue Flames, however i am not sure. I feel like they are just like the Red Fires, which i was getting 6" Groups at 10 yards! Just another Knock-off of the Predator Polymags in my opinion. Mad
