I found the brass shot cases at Midway USA... a spendy $27 for 25 of them.
The barrel chamber will be designed much like a "Judge"... instead of copper jacketed slugs... I'm thinking round ball ammo... easily obtainable at Pyramyd Air |

HEY Joe!.... What kind of velocity and shot weight are you aiming at and with what barrel length?.... How big a reservoir and how many shots per fill?....

Hey, it's a discussion group.
I told a joke and embellished the situation.
You guys are rolling with it.
This is fun to read. |

My calculations show that IF I can get the efficiency high enough my Hayabusa MIGHT be able to get three shots with 1/2 oz. of shot at about 900ish from a 22CI tank with the output regulated at 2500 psi into my 115cc Plenum.... That's with keeping the valve open until the shot leaves the barrel and then closing it immediately to not waste the remaining air in the Plenum (which would be about 1700 psi).... If you dump the entire 115cc (to zero) then the 22CI tank wouldn't be big enough to give you a 2500 psi second shot....

I should put you in contact with Greg on the calculations for the electronic valve...
I want to go mechanical to the hammer and have the hammer activate the electronics... just for the tactical input to the trigger finger so you don't feel like your just pushing a button.
Other thoughts were.... A Rap4 M4 rear tank paintball gun converted to fire 9mm balls using the magazine to feed the lead balls. But my first thought was the recharge rate of the Regulator would not be able to keep up. |
