It's the piece where the cocking lever attaches to the piston. I see what happened. mine cracked. It is aluminum not plastic. looking at the assembly even I should be able to fix this one. Should just pop right in. I'm getting it from bestairgun. Should be up and running in a week. I decided to not mess with it and took it to mac-1. I've never had a cocking shoe break in the 25 years I've had springers. The word is is that Beeman/HW's commonly have this problem. My new scope broke after 50 rounds. So now I can get the Leapers I want anyway. That is actually pretty funny, really. What I find exceptionally amusing is when they copy an old gun (i.e. like the Crosman 160) and change nothing- 40 years later they make a clone and do absolutely zero to improve upon it. Is this an indicator of a wonderful original product, or a total lack of creativity? Could be either, but copying known problems seems to indicate the latter... _________________ ` I'd say "I care." Problems solved! Took the dead scope back and threw a Leapers 3-9x40 AO illum-mildot on it. Flip up lense covers and sun shade included.
