Welcome to seven broom it's a lot faster than Vista. I just bought a new laptop because my Toshiba/ Vista is away for repair. I have now found out that some of my software doesn’t work. Evil or Very Mad

Also Toshiba with whom I have an extended warranty with has had my laptop for 4 months now, first they said it needed a new mother board, then they couldn’t get one and would give me market value for mine, so I told them what I thought of them. WTF?

I get the feeling that the mother board is an expensive item and it’s cheaper to pay the market value than mend it Shocked

They then offered me a top of the range model but nothing turned up, so back on the phone and after a lot of swearing etc They agreed to get my one repaired as they had miraculously found a mother board for it, but it will take another 2 weeks to fix. Shrug

So is anyone is thinking of buying a Toshiba think twice about it they will do anything to get out of honouring a contract. By the way the new laptop is an HP. Smile

Al

I got Vista at work. It's WAY to slow. Neutral

On my home PC I went from XP to W7. The differences at the moment are mostly the inconvenience of getting used to stuff.

I liked XP until yesterday. It stopped accepting my videodrivers. Games without graphics is like Spirits without alcohol. Razz

Thats brutal

They really are only in the "new machine" business. Aftersales support for most (all) of them is pretty dismal
