my brother helped clean out a bran a few years back and found a realy old air gun. its marked jelly on the stock and says made in hungy. any one know anything on these guys? how old or ? its a brake barel .177 cal. shoots pretty good. kind of weak thuogh I don't know the speed. |

These are very utilitarian guns and should have a leather piston seal. Crack it open (I'm assuming it is a break barrel) and put several good drops of pure silicone oil in throught the transfer port (the hole where the air comes out to go into the barrel), then stand on the butt for a couple of days to let it soak in. Neatsfoot oil will work, too, if you don't have the silicone. Silicone oil is available at hobby shops catering to R/C cars, from what I've heard. I got mine at an old hardware store. This should pick up the speed some but most Telly's are on the low powered side. About the same as a Diana Model 22, etc. Still, fun plinkers. |
