IMO those are too big for your gun, you may have trouble cocking it if they are too long....
If you are not shooting from a bench, you will find the magnification is too high.... and the field of view too narrow....
I never use anything more than 16X on an airgun....

Stick with a 40mm and maximum magnification of 12x- your Quest won't be able to utilize anything larger or with more magnification to any useful effect.
Not to be funny- but a larger scope is not going to make anyone a better shooter. |

| My Quest is moded today... New Gtr III trigger and just put on a 18" longer barrel... Also I had a custom air compressor made for it for more power... The blow back is like a high powered rifle... It's at 1800 fps and has a range of about a little Over 500 yards on open field target! That's with me using range finder and factor drop/wind |

I'm throwing the BS flag on this one. There is no way to get a quest to do those kind of numbers. My 30.06 won't pull those kind of numbers and I know there is only a few powder burners that will. There is no, I repeat NO way to get a .177 pellet to pull 1800 fps. period. end of sentence. There is also no way to even get a pellet to 500 feet, let alone 500 yards. Chairgun would show that is impossible from any airgun. Not only that, a GTR trigger does NOTHING for pellet velocity, it just makes it an easier rifle to shoot. I have a storm which is the same thing as a quest except for the scope. I know these rifles by heart. So now you want to try telling us the truth about why you want such a big scope? |

Um, yeah. I say "BS" as well.
If you added an 18" longer barrel- the barrel would be 3 feet in length. Some magical "compressor" is not going to work unless alot of machining has been done and a valving system installed. "Blowback" is not an applicable concept here.
If there is any truth to your requirement for a scope- follow the advice given, but don't pile it on and expect people to buy into this sort of absurdity.
Also- you are 18 years of age or older, correct? |

Ok deal... I work for the navy... Im in year 2 of my deployment as a Seal
At the base we made a gun I call the "blazer" it uses the same basic idea of a Air Rifle but different usage... I needed to know is there was a good enough scope to get off record we can use for the rifle
The explaination for it is this... I needed a gun I could dis assemble and put together also a gun can't be quiet like a AR... This air gun shoots a 408 round and can hit around a mile... That's why I need a super powerful AR scope... I'll using it
PS: Nice call I knew the # were high...lmao
In all seriousness I do own a quest 1000 at my house in Chicago though :D |

Eric, please ban this little kid. He obviously is full of sh!t and doesn't belong on an airgun forum full of honest and truthful adults. |

What? No one finds this amusing?
A .408 round at somewhere around 419gr traveling at 1800fps is about 3015fpe. A 'standard' .408 Chey Tac travels about 2900fps (7826fpe).
Let's see now, a .408 bore using air as the propelent, I'm thinking that someone would need roughly 7500psi of air behind it to get around 2000fpe. Maybe those Shoebox guys have a new model?
Either that or Mr. bigsky likes dragging a 60lb welding tank around to use with his "dissemble-able" airgun and has some very interesting valve technology. Perhaps he should post some pictures to let us view this interesting piece of engineering.
ahem. |

If you don't mind it, I'll let it drop. I just get my hackles raised when somebody starts trying to BS me about something I know a LOT more about. I have anger issues from being raised by wolverines. They said if you can't screw it, eat it. |

Now come on guys give the fellow a chance. A short while ago while I was working with special forces there was a project called “SAW” this was for a Silent Assassin gun, this was for taking out any opposition during a beach landing, the final development was a large calibre air rifle capable of shooting in excess of 500 meters, it was to be used from a canoe.
The one drawback from this gun was the kick when fired (Blowback), if you rested your cheek against the butt when firing the kick back rotated your brain and snapped your cervical cord, this resulted in you having stupid idea’s and talking bull $hit.
So the fellow above could be telling the truth?

| Eric, I know a guy who knows a guy who's cousins' husband designed a tank that used paintballs that were frozen and used liquid nitrogen source to dye people colors so that the army could take them as prisoners of war more easily. It is very top secret though so don't tell anybody about it. |

Yup- all in the QT- got it!
Did I ever tell you about my days as a Green Beret in Cambod, er, Viet Nam?
Yup- I was the first infant Green Beret to see combat in a foreign theatre (or maybe that foreign theatre was the French Cinema my mom took me to for a Matinee)- but I digress.
In my GB days, we developed a Co2-powered "800 pounder"- not because it had 800 pounds of powder or gas behind it- but because it shot 800 pound Gorillas over the treeline to capture the VC's. Yup- we called it the "X1 Ape Launcher". Unfortunately, cleaning the barrel was a bit of work- so it got sidelined before the end of the conflict. |
