After reading some posts on this forum and others, I decided to try and lighten the trigger pull on my G1. The thing was just way too heavy, and it even felt gritty.
There were some posts by kanyon about removing the trigger return spring since that is one of the differences between the stock trigger and the custom triggers out there. See http://www.airgunhome.com/agforum/viewtopic.php?t=5324
Well, with all that said, I removed the trigger return spring. Wow, what a difference in the pull. It even took out the "gritty" feeling in the pull. The pull distance is still the same. I even still feel the first stage of the trigger give way before the gun fires.
Some said it feels loose or sloppy, but not my gun. The trigger had no wiggle and the pull is solid, but light all the way through.
Here are some pictures to help out anyone for removing the spring. I guess I did't include pictures of the actual removal of the trigger, but here is a nice video from Brutuz62 showing all the details of the trigger removal, and then you can use my pics to see how easily the trigger return spring comes out.

Here are some pictures taken from various angles of the trigger with the return spring and retaining pin still in place.
Here is a picture of the spring and pin after they are removed.
I don't feel anything unsafe about this mod. There is still plenty of travel before the gun goes off and there is still weight to the pull, just not as much as with the spring in place.
Also, I don't know if it's just my gun, but my trigger returns to the foremost position when I release it. Some have suggested otherwire, but my trigger returns forward after pulling it and releasing it.
I'm falling in love with this gun all over again. |

| Haha, I just posted this same mod on a different forum maybe a few weeks ago. Good to hear how well it works cause I just tried it on a spare trigger group, didn't put it back in the gun but could tell pull was lightened a good amount. |

| I'd have to dig for it, I posted it as a response in someone's thread but this one has more detailed pictures. I took the pin and spring out and pushed a hex key where the pin had been and took a picture. Maybe I'll have to go do some trigger swapping quick and see how she does |
