| Anyone out there know what pressure a 24 oz co2 tank will hold? I see it has a 3k safelty valve on it. Will they actually hold up to 3000 psi before the safelty valve goes off or aam I mis interpreting it? |

CO2 tanks are rated at 1800 PSI safe working pressure... You should see that stamped right into the tank, usually near the neck....
Hydrostatic tests are run at 5/3 of the working pressure of the tank.... 1800 x 5 / 3 = 3000 psi.... That is the value of the burst disc.... It is NOT the safe working pressure of the tank.... DO NOT EXCEED the 1800 psi stamped into the tank....

Ah I see that on my tank now. Just says 1800 no psi or anything like that. Dang I was hoping it would hold 2000 to 2400 psi and I could use it for a buddy tank for my discovery when out hunting. I got it for co2 but co2 sucks in my opinion now I got the set up and no real use for it unless I drop $150 bucks or so on a air tank anyhow thanks rather be safe than sorry appreciate the knowledge you shared with me. |
