Winter's almost gone. The mail carrier even had her shorts on last week. Just this last little bit to melt...

I saw on the weather report last night that northern Minn was getting a light dusting of snow. We're just getting lots of rain here in Indiana. My grass is really green and ready for rolling, vertilizer, and mowing soon. This has been one of the coldest and long winters I can remember. Yep, I'm getting too old to appreciate the cold and snow!!

I wonder if I could get a permit from the Department of Natural Resources and declare my lawn a prairie restoration project....

Great Idea!!! The county has all the property records on line now and I see that a rather wealthy land owner close to us has his large property listed as a "wetlands" and is tax exempt. I just don't think his land is more moist that ours... Rolling Eyes

Oooh, I never thought of that. I was just trying to get out of mowing the lawn, but tax exempt - this has possibilities.

Here the weather is great. I wish it could stay spring trough the summer but in a couple of months the weather is going to be hot, damp and full of Mosquitos.

It has to be the wettest spring we have had in years. Only 1 day in the last two weeks has it been nice enough to ride my bicycle. My back yard is a mudhole that will never dry out. I am so tired of rain it isn't funny. I gouess I could have been the tornados that ripped through north carolina so I am counting my luck!

Yeah, since we've had temps here in the 90's for about 2 weeks, I'd say that winter is "almost gone" Laughing Laughing Laughing

It's definitely Spring here... Some sunny days and now back to April showers.

Even with overcast skies, we did manage to kick off the outdoor season over the weekend with a bonfire on the banks of the Snake River...

Our excuse was... My grand daughter needed Smores... Wink
