No matter how many of theses parts I make... I ask myself one question before I finish them... "Would I put this on my own gun?" If the answer is no... then it's not ready for an air gun buddy...

get a set of exspanding arbors..
bore yer centre hole...stick the arbor in it
tighten it....toss the other end of the
arbor in the chuck...turn & face the out side dia

yer won't have to grip them on a machined / finished surface and risk putting jaw marks on them... |

I've been so busy I hadn't gotten a chance to fit those expandable arbors to the sizes I needed.... I'm down for a week... the sharpening service has most of my carbide cutting tools till next Monday...
So I took some time and fitted two of the arbors today using my index-able bits... and all I can say is "DAMN"... I got the best "off the lathe" finish on these friggin monster brakes for the Lamo Bull Barrels...
I put a taper at the chuck end of the arbors to make sure the work is dead center and turned down the rest to the ID size of the brake.
Using the arbors also dampens the harmonics of hollow pieces and gives a much smoother finish.
No touch up sanding at all...
