I am a vet that served 8 years in the AF. I am getting into air-gunning mainly because of the gun laws here in HI. I have a Crossman Storm XT and a Crossman 1088 with feed problems. I want my next guns to be blow-back for more "real" handgun training. I also want a Daisy Red Rider just to scare the cats off the property and a little bit of nostalgia. I would say that I am more of a budget gunner than a competition shooter or modifier.

Welcome to the forum, neonistic. Cheap is good - you can do a lot with what you already have. Again, welcome to the forum.

I like this...reminds me of me. I like to gun on the cheap. You can see from my list of air guns that I haven't spend more than $100 on any of my shooters.

Again, welcome.

Welcome to the circus...

1088 Feed issue...
Remove the magnets from the rotary mag and don't use BB's

Just pop out the litte grey cover on the mag to expose the magnet...

WELCOME !!! Glad ya found us!!! The StromXT is a great gun for the money..I shortened the barrel on mine 4 inches and added the GRTIII trigger ..MAN! Like a totally different gun....I had to sell it because I just NEVER could be consistent with the "artillery hold"..but not the gun's fault !! Good hard shooter Mr. Green

I will try this. My feed issues have been with pellets. Another (buried) post said to grease the internals. As I don't have any grease at the time, the magnet trick will be next.

24 shots and only 1 miss-feed. Does the condition of the skirt matter that much? If so, is there anything I can do to condition the skirt as I am loading the mag?

Just make sure the pellets are tight & flush in the mag. Lose ones will jamb up the gun. A pellet seating tool will help expand the skirt in the mag.
