Greg aka Sniper, re-finished the two in the middle The bare stock on the bottom is the same original color that both the Crosman 1077W and Ruger 10/22 were from the factory. The labor of love. It only looks as good as MY 1077 you rebuilt, shoots. Every airgunner needs a 10/22. Every powder-burner needs a 10/77. If only there was a way to have them "make out" with eachother. Technically they are different sexes, so that wouldn't be wrong. That newer stock... Once I took it off the gun and really started looking at it... it does have some really good grain character to it... It's just hidden by the original stain... I decided... it's going to get shaped for a Fluted Bull or Vented Post Tension barrel and send it to That Guy for laser engraving... "Ruger" on the fore stock end... Like Benjamin on your M-rod... and then my Rat skull & cross bones on the butt stock... and if Guy is up to it... Laser checkering on the palm swell and sides of the forestock... Great way to dress up a $25 stock off ebay... I'm going to build a 2nd 10/22... Tactical Innovations has a rear charging reciever... Hey...now that's a great way to stay in practice..... I agree on that coffee brown stain on the M-Rod.I bet there's some good looking wood lurking underneath.When I get my hands on one...whenever that is.... the first thing I'm doing is refinishing the stock.Heck I might just send it your way...... My 40th is next month...pappa needs a new toy.....
