My Disco is shooting way below it's 18 to 20 fpe... More 14/15 fpe ish. Which is weird. Mine did the same thing and once I put the safety button back in it went back to normal.... This can also happen if you install the extra screws to adjust the trigger travels and set the trigger to too little overtravel.... The sear drags on the hammer and produces reduced velocity and erratic behaviour.... Drove me nuts until I identified the problem.... It can also be a burr on the cocking or sear slot.... or the cocking pin on the hammer coming part way out and dragging on the tube.... Basically anything that causes the hammer to hit with reduced velocity will do likewise to the pellet speed.... The biggest problem at the moment is that I don't have a chrony. I will open it up and see what's going on. Not knowing exactly what the fps output is, I would seek access to a chrony as the very first step..Not to be a wise-a$$, but your idea, feeling or impression of what it's actaully shooting could indeed be "out of calibration"...just sayin'.... _________________ HEY !! At the moment, it IS very "economical". It does between 150 (492) and 170 (557) Mp/s with Baracuda Extra Heavies. Those were the only pellets available at the time I shot over a Chrony last Saturday. _________________ BIG GAP   Posted: Wed Feb 16, 2011 11:16 pm Mark5043 Silver Status Member Joined: 12 Apr 2009 Posts: 1379 Broom,I don't recall you mentioning if the Disco shot this way when you got it,or if this was a recent development?I think Bob is spot on with his suggestion of checking for hammer drag.I've had this happen on both my Disco,and Custom shop gun.In both cases I was using a 22xx grip frame,with a trigger stop screw which was set to far in causing the sear to drag on the hammer, slowing it down.Drove me nuts....took everything apart,only to find out that 3/4 of a turn out on the screw let the sear fully retract...... _________________   Posted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 12:38 pm broommaster2000 Moderator Joined: 10 Mar 2007 Posts: 5714 Location: City of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands There seems to be another issue, that I didn't notice before. The stock mounts to the trigger group (with both trigger styles, 2240 & 2260/Disco).... If not, perhaps the sear is dragging on the tube and hence on the hammer....
